SEASIDE

The day after we left (wouldn't you know) a young man showed up at nearly sunset and began filling brown bags with sand. He was attempting to propose to his girlfriend with a message via luminaries. He soon realized that this was too big of a job for one lovestruck man alone and asked my friends for help. They happily obliged. What fun! I bet she said yes.

Due to technical difficulties, this is the only picture I have to prove that I was actually there.

...my beautiful girls and their sweet, sweet friends.

I love these kids!

Seaside Was Great!

I am back, a little tan, and very rested. Seaside was great! We went to the beach every day, even the rainy days, and enjoyed reading and napping under our blue Cabana Man umbrella. Every year we talk about never leaving or returning for good. Doesn't everyone say that after a restful week-long vacation? I would go back right now if I could.

Due to a mishap with the camera charger, I don't have any pictures to post yet. As soon as I get some I will.

Hipster

The URL that appears below was recomended by my twenty year old daughter. It plays random alternative rock songs. I am not sure it is necessarily my type, but I think it's a pretty cool way to share music. Enjoy for now; I don't think it will be part of my blog for long. :)

Anticipation

In a few short days (or should I say long days) the Schaeffer's will leave on vacation. We will spend one week in the best beach community ever....Seaside, Florida! The white sand, turquoise water and a short twelve-hour drive from home are just a few things that makes it the perfect spot for our family. For us, another part of the appeal of Seaside is staying in one of it's distinctive pastel cottages. They are just right for cooling off and relaxing. In the evenings we enjoy family-time, cooking out and visiting with each other on the screened-in porch. There is no need to drive in Seaside because you can walk or ride your bike anywhere. There is a gourmet grocery store, art galleries, shopping boutiques, bookstores and yummy restaurants just a few blocks away. I can't wait to post pics and tell you more about the lazy days of our vacation.
